As many of you know, Sarah, the owner of Sol, is attending Acupuncture school in Portland, OR. She began her clinical training in November and is flying to Portland a couple of days per week to give treatments at the student clinic on Wednesdays and Thursdays. Since she can't teach Wednesdays anymore, she will be teaching Sundays instead. Hopefully many of you will find this time slot to be a wonderful way to spend your Sunday morning. For those of you interested in acupuncture, check out the school Sarah is attending www.pocatech.org. Although the school was ostensibly created to train acupuncturists, the training also includes extensive exploration of social justice and how we can use acupuncture as a tool to improve access to safe, effective, non-invasive medicine. In particular, making acupuncture affordable and accessible to people who have been and continue to be marginalized by our current medical system.
You will find that the prices for classes and services at Sol are consistently lower than in other places. We are also lucky to be located at the Georgetown Community Center which helps to keep prices low. One of our aims is to provide quality services at low prices. This allows as many people as possible to participate and creates a sense of community as people are able to explore their bodies and minds together in a safe and supportive space. You, the community, are Sol.
Please know that we strive to be as inclusive as possible. All are welcome and prices are negotiable. Just join us.
